Farewell to a Mercury Friend

It's always sad to see one of your favorite coworkers move on. Kristen is moving to Portand for a new adventure with her husband Doug! I am so excited for her - but really sad to see her go. Becky and I enjoyed a slumber party celebration last night, our last M hike together and today Mercury had a great going away party for her. We sang a song to her and Bella that made everyone shed a few tears. I sure will miss these two blondies!

Good News!!

I assisted Larry Stanley with a wedding three weeks ago. Since then I have been asked by him and Lauren Brown to be an associate photographer and help them shoot weddings the next two summers. They will train me on the ins and outs of photography- photography 101 and advanced techniques!

I am super excited to have the chance to work with two amazing photographers.

New News

Tony and I will be moving back into our house at the end of September. After a busy summer and the new photography pursuits we did not get the house on the market like we had hoped. I will post some shots of the bathroom and kitchen - which will be completed by the time we move back in!

Canyon Ferry for Megan's Bachelorette Party

oh my goodness - I can't even begin to explain how much fun I had - it was a great weekend with Megan and her childhood girlfriends at Canyon Ferry. An awesome group of ladies, great food, drinks, location, warm water and water sports. Our own little version of the Olympics!! We went tubbing and Ashley and I laughed so much and got the granny water awards! Princess Evelyn (the baby) is so cute and we had so much fun playing with her.

Megan's Bridal Shower

The Mercury ladies gathered to help celebrate our friend Megan's future wedding! We enjoyed the outside patio at Plonk - beautiful flowers, tasty cheeses, dessert and yummy drinks...Cocunut Lime Rickey-mmm...mmm....good - my new-new favorite!! Happy Wedding Megs!

A few weeks ago my good friend Becky and I had a great evening out! Shopping, dinner and the best live show I have seen in ages. Ani Difranco!!! An old favorite:) and a new favorite The Wallin Jennys - who are amazing. Ahnie I thought about seeing her back in our college days and the interesting night we had with Christy!! Besides the many fun activities that have kept us busy over the last month or so...we have also been busy working away at the old homestead. I have taken a few photos, but think I will just focus on the end result when the work is complete. Tony is taking this entire week off from work to get great momentum on our BIG project. I can't believe how long it takes to do anything!! after working full time jobs and taking care of ourselves and our animals. Well after a few fabulous upcoming events of bridal showers and our friends wedding...we will be making no major plans. Work-e Work-e! It has been a fun process and again it a great step towards building our future home! WE will be celebrating when this first major domestic project of ours is complete. Jason Anderson's Birthday Celebration at the Fiddler's Picnic

My buddy, my buddy, my buddies and me! Where in the world is Carmen San Diego! We had a great time with Jason, Molly and Hannah celebrating Jason's 33rd Birthday! He was so excited about his gift he started jumping up and down in front of many onlookers..:) we enjoyed mini pies and laughed way too much! We also found a donkey/mule with really big ears and became instant friends. The fiddlin' was pretty good too! Another fun year at the Picnic for those Fiddlers!

BBQ at the Cajunes

It was great to see old Montana friends on Friday night at the Cajunes. So nice to see Joey, Courtney and adorable little Oliver - too cute:) Vedra served up some amazing food as always - brie parsnip soup, lamb, amazing beans and my new favorite drink...huckleberry vodka, pear juice (lemonade is also excellent) and fresh huckleberries! Tony played pool in the back shop with his work buddies!
