Happy 30th Birthday Annika! June 24, 1978

Well it all started 30 years ago when Annika was born into this world. It wasn't long until I met her - days, maybe weeks! Not sure, but we have been friends or bosom buddies ever since! We played as babies together, I visited her at Montessori school, we played lost in the woods together, made mud pies, camped at Lake Chelan, went to grade school through college together, stayed over at each others houses while growing up and eventually lived together in college! Her family is my second family. What can I say - I am more than lucky to have her in my life - I am so blessed to have a best friend I can laugh with, cry with, travel with and learn so much from. We don't see each other nearly as much as we would like to, but when we do it is always recharging!

Ahnie, I hope you enjoy these pictures my sweet! I thank you for the 30 years of memories we have together and I am SO looking forward to the times that are yet to come! Enjoy your day! I am thinking of you! I love you with all my heart! - Meggan

While Tony was away!

Soon (depending on fixing our small camera) Tony will be posting pictures of his time in Brooklin, Maine. He had a nice time and said he met some great people. He saw a home he is now trying to create for us. The last 3 nights since he got back, he has been busy drawing up house plans! We are enjoying taking Oso for morning and evening walks and trying to stay cool as the weather is getting warmer! Happy summer!!

Elkhorn Ghost Town - Health Mine w/Kent, Heather and Ken

But of course we had a great time and found something to laugh about for years to come!! The ghost town was not up to our standards, but fun to see. The surrounding area was beautiful and the cemetery was very interesting. We stopped in Boulder for coffee and doughnuts and a high school kid told us about the Health Mine.
mmm..well after a short drive we found it...purple paint - I am SO glad we decided to check it out inside because soon we were drunk off of radon..Yes, this 85' underground mine is used for medicinal purposes...it is believed that the radon cures peoples health ailments. $175 dollars later (over the course of 11 or so days) and you too can be cured of your arthritis or fibromyalgia. http://www.radonmine.com/ We saw people reading and using the Internet during their sessions underground. Well worth a day trip to see this fascinating facility...power of positive thinking?...or is it the radon??? It was for sure - a great day with great friends!!

Catering - B Bar Ranch - with Ashley

Ashley and I had an amazing time serving at a most beautiful wedding. This is the only picture I got of the fabulous day - I wasn't hired to take pictures!! The wedding party was delightful and we had a great time meeting new people and eating great leftover food.

Annika Day #3 & #4- Yellowstone - Sex in the City

A long fun day! Yellowstone in the am, where we saw a black bear and fox close up. We took a nice stroll along Specimen Ridge where we watched Osprey sore overhead. We headed back to Bozeman in the late afternoon and watched the movie Sex in the City - so fun to see with Ahnie!! After a nice dinner at Over the Tapas, where we enjoyed yummy sangria we headed back to Livingston and continued our S&C season 1 watching!

Annika's final day in Montana included walks around Livingston, chocolate chip cookies, avoiding the rain and wind, secretly video taping me at the property and listening to the awesome mix cd's she brought me! I LOVE YOU Ahnie! Thanks always - for visiting!

My favorite photo - I can't take credit for this one!!!

Ken Kapinski took this photo at the Wilsall Rodeo and I love it! I am not the biggest fan of bulls - but doesn't this one make you want to pet it!! Maybe not - Great Shot Ken!

Annika Day #2 - Wilsall Rodeo

We went to the good old Wilsall Rodeo with Hannah and Ken and met up with several friends. We went "back stage" for some close up views and a insight into rodeo life. Fun day!

Annika's Visit Day #1 - Virginia City -Brewery Follies

Annika flew in around 2:30 and we headed straight for Virginia City - a fabulous little ghost town - to celebrate her early 30th birthday!! We went to dinner at Bandito's - a great restaurant - and had some high class entertainment at the Brewery Follies- oh my! Any locals who have yet to attend - it is a must see show! We laughed and laughed!!
